I’m the best, but here are some others

Ok, so I might not be the best (yet) but I think I have potential.

In the meantime, if my site is not good enough for you, check out some of these other fantastic blogs that focus on environmental issues and responsible business in China:

Created by Shanghai-based Richard Brubaker, managing director of China Strategic Development Partners and founder of Hands On Shanghai, China Crossroads brings together a team of at least nine China experts, students and professionals who write about corporate social responsibility in China, as well as its impact on the environment, health and the economy. This crew knows its stuff! Be sure to check out its sister site, All Roads Lead to China, for more business-oriented news.

This is a must-read for anyone interested in China’s environment. Technically operating as an independent non-profit organization and well-funded by educational charities, this Web site brings together experts, policy makers and journalists to discuss global environmental issues. The best part about their coverage is that EVERYTHING is translated into English or Chinese. Finally, a true dialogue!

This blog offers no original commentary, but it still serves as a decent digest of recent news articles, presented as full text, which is useful if you don’t have subscriptions to many of the premium “Web-exclusive” articles available online.

Written by David Wolf, who also runs Silicon Hutong, a blog about technology and IT in China, EcoHutong focuses on China’s environment, sustainability and technology. The blog posts are short but thought-provoking and well-written. And I like the sleek, fresh design!

This is a Beijing-based non-profit organization that promotes social responsibility in China. It links to a plethora of information, news articles and other resources, and it offers coverage in English and Chinese. The layout is a bit cluttered and overwhelming, but the content is extremely comprehensive.

Published by Probe International, a Canadian energy and environmental independent think tank, the Three Gorges Probe provides bilingual coverage of “the social, environmental, scientific and economic impacts of big dams and other large-scale water projects in China, as well as alternatives to such schemes.” There is a particular emphasis on human rights abuses, corruption and technical problems. It offers breaking news, reports, books and other links.

If you have any other suggestions for other environment/CSR-related blogs or Web sites, let me know!
